Munich, September 3, 2025 – Technology company MOIA is offering a comprehensive look into the world of autonomous driving at this year’s IAA Mobility in Munich: MOIA’s turnkey solution for autonomous mobility is unique worldwide. At its core is the specially developed software ecosystem. This is complemented by the ID. Buzz AD, Volkswagen’s first fully autonomous production vehicle, as well as services for operators of autonomous mobility services. Selected IAA guests can experience the technology first-hand during autonomous test rides in Munich.
At the Summit, MOIA will demonstrate its end‑to‑end solution for fully autonomous mobility services. Using artificial intelligence, the software ecosystem orchestrates fleets in real time, provides automated passenger assistance, monitors safety and integrates seamlessly into existing booking apps. At the same time, the software fulfils key regulatory requirements for SAE Level 4 vehicles, including capabilities for remote supervision and safe handling of exceptional situations such as emergency response operations.
Another part of the overall solution is Operator Enablement, which helps providers of autonomous mobility services implement and operate the AD ecosystem - from simulation and training through go‑live to day‑to‑day live monitoring.
Complemented by Mobileye’s self‑driving system, MOIA is bringing the first autonomous vehicle to be type‑approved under European regulatory requirements onto public roads: the ID. Buzz AD has been specifically optimised for use in mobility services and was presented to the public for the first time at the UITP Summit in Hamburg in June 2025.
“We offer public and private operators everything from a single source with our MOIA Turnkey Solution - vehicle, software and services - ready for market, safe and scalable,” says Sascha Meyer, CEO of MOIA. “This allows us not only to address challenges such as driver shortages or limited coverage in rural areas, but also to enable a new kind of mobility that is flexible, comfortable and affordable.”
Together with Oliver Blume, CEO of the Volkswagen Group, MOIA CEO Sascha Meyer will discuss the future of autonomous mobility in Germany with Federal Minister of Transport Patrick Schnieder on September 9 from 2:15 to 3:00 p.m. The panel will take place at the Volkswagen Group booth (Hall B1/D10).
“In our 360‑degree package, we combine cutting‑edge technology with outstanding European software and automotive expertise to create a product that will shape the future of mobility worldwide,” says Christian Senger, CEO of Volkswagen Autonomous Mobility. “In doing so, we make a valuable contribution to Germany’s technological sovereignty. Now is the moment to position Germany and Europe as pioneers in the global competition for innovative technologies such as self‑driving AI systems. This requires the right political framework.”
IAA Mobility will conclude on Friday, September 12 with an extensive programme at the Volkswagen Group stand. In addition to MOIA expert talks on the future and scaling potential of autonomous mobility, there will be an autonomous test ride with FC Bayern Munich.
