Not that long ago, automotive manufacturers — sorry about the somewhat forced metaphor — were a bit like big ships. Once they’d set off in a certain direction, changing course was very difficult – especially when tens of thousands of jobs and investments worth millions were on the line. That’s why developing a new vehicle took four to five years, and sometimes even longer.
In the following video MOIA’s Head of Vehicle Management & Concepts Christian Rosen explains how MOIA was able to create the new, production-ready electric vehicle working in concert with colleagues from Volkswagen. “This is a new way of working,” says Christian. “We’re developing our vehicles by working together with our customers from the very start.”
In the new market for mobility solutions there are no fixed rules or general principles that must be adhered to so vendors can create something truly new by collaborating with users. That’s why at MOIA we work in small teams that gather feedback fast and are capable of implementing changes small and large very quickly.
